Locking slide shutter
The slide shutter can lock the valve in the open position, which results in
the unique opportunity of e.g. automatically draining the urine into a urine
bag at night. In the daytime, by contrast, the patient can manually activate
the valve and thus retain his natural micturition cycle. This permits targeted
bladder-training measures and counteracts the emergence of a contracted bladder.
Universal connector piece
The stepped connector piece with the sealing ring enables the valve to be connected to all standard catheters. The specially designed connector piece guarantees an extremely tight connection and a good fit on the catheter.
Safety and hygiene
The valve concept effectively prevents any contamination that can occur, e.g.
as a result of the repeated removal and reinsertion of the catheter stopper
at each micturition. The valve itself is attached to the catheter and remains
there. The flow of urine is regulated simply and with minimum effort at a
press of the button. The „top” catheter valve and „top”
urine-bag adapter are sterile products.
Self-closing
Once the red button is released, the valve closes again automatically and
securely. This is an essential safety aspect and a decisive advantage for
geriatric patients. The protected position of the press button prevents accidental
or self-activation. The button itself is manufactured in a distinctive colour,
a feature that makes the operation of the valve easier still.
Body-friendly form
The flat and rounded form, without any prominent components, guarantees the highest possible wearing comfort. The smooth, edge-free surface reduces the risk of pressure chafes or bedsores to a minimum.
Drop stopper
The special design of the drop-stopping edge ensures that no residual urine remains in the valve outlet that might soil the laundry or the user's hands.
One-hand operation
The practical gripping recess and the red button enable the patient to operate
the valve easily with just one hand. The patented press-button operation has
a degressive power course, in other words only a fraction of the power necessary
to activate the valve is required to hold it open. This property is highly
appreciated, in particular by weak patients.
Urine-bag attachment
The funnel-shaped, soft attachment enables all conventional urine bags with conical or stepped connectors to be used. The special design guarantees a good, tight fit of the urine-bag attachment.
Rapid coupler
The self-sealing rapid coupler of the urine-bag adapter enables the patient to attach urine bags to the catheter valve with a mere flick of the wrist.
